I’ve always felt a deep connection to the ocean. Growing up, it wasn’t just the water that called to me — it was the idea that we could work with the sea to create a more sustainable, inspired future. That mission led me to the University of New England, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Aquaculture and Aquarium Science — one of the few programs of its kind in the U.S. at the time.
Over the years, I’ve participated in national competitions like the National Ocean Science Bowl, earned my Enriched Air Divemaster certification through PADI, and worked hands-on in the aquarium industry. Each step brought new challenges and fresh perspectives, shaping who I am both as a professional and as a person.
Outside the water, you’ll usually find me on the road or at my desk, deep into a writing project. I’m currently drafting my first novel — a story, unsurprisingly, steeped in maritime wonder. Whether it's through storytelling or science, I aim to leave things better than I found them, especially when it comes to our ocean planet.
